Gold at World Series
World Series Success
The World Series is a prestigious diving competition which sees the elite in international diving, take to the boards.
For Tom, entering both the individual and synchro events, is a great opportunity for him to compete against the best divers in the World leading up to London2012.
When Tom and synchro partner, Pete Waterfield, finished only 1 point behind the 3rd place Russians during the first leg in Dubai, they knew that a medal position was firmly within sight at the next stage of the competition in Beijing… and they performed brilliantly, securing the Silver Medal behind China in first place and ahead of the pair from Germany in third.
Tom also delivered an impressive and consistent performance in his individual competition in Dubai, coming 2nd in the semi-final and winning the Silver Medal in the final of the 10m Platform. This was the first individual competition Tom has competed in during 2012. This has been a brilliant start for 2012 and has given Tom a great boost going into the next stages of the World Series competition.
Tom continued his medal winning form in the second leg of the competition in the individual event too, finishing in first place in his semi-final and winning the silver medal again in the final!
