Teen Awards Winner!
The winners of the ‘Teen Choice Awards 2012’ have been announced and among the winners was our very own Tom Daley, who scooped not one, but two awards this year!
“I was sad not to be able to go to the awards ceremony this year to pick them up in person, but I am having a brilliant time in Oz and looking forward to competing in the Junior World Champs that the team and I are out here for.”
The two awards Tom was nominated for and won were – ‘Best British Young Sports Star’ and ‘Male Hottie of the Year’.
Tom told us, “It’s always an honour to win awards, especially when they’re voted for by the general public. Thanks to all the Radio 1 listeners for voting, I’m very flattered about winning both awards.”
It’s the third year running Tom has won the ‘Best British Young Sports Star’ award. When Tom collected that award last year we got some behind the scenes footage of Tom and his friends hanging out at the awards.
